If price is the problem
NotchNook sits at the top of the category on price, and it is the only app here that asks some buyers for a recurring payment. For a utility that runs quietly in the background, plenty of people find a subscription hard to justify no matter how good the app is.

Three honest cases, and they are not small ones:
- You want the most refined thing in the category. NotchNook has had the longest to polish, and it shows. Nothing here has quite the same finish.
- You have an Intel MacBook. Dynamic Notch is Apple Silicon (M1 or later) only. Of everything on this page, only Boring Notch supports Intel.
